Big Game Treestands Boss™ Lite Packable Combo

When the box containing my Boss Lite Combo stand arrived from Big Game Treestands I found it hard to believe that everything I needed was in that one box.

My first thought was “oh no! This is going to be one of those put it together nightmares!”. However, while some assembly was required, it was not bad at all and Denny (our Pro Staff Director) and I got it done very quickly and easily. Also, there was a ton of other stuff in the box with it that I did not know about. Bonus items so to speak like a pull up rope, bow hanger, a DVD and some other neat items. The stand and the ladder sticks all fit nicely in the box. A master packer definitely designed that process!

After unpacking and assembling, we hung the stand on a tree just behind our camp house for a few days. We generally do this to let it air out and get rid of some of the human and factory smells before we hang it where we will hunt.

The stand is light, easy to handle and is one of the most comfortable lock on style stands I have ever sat in. Everything you need to hang the stand and hunt comes right in the box. Everything is included. The ladder sticks are very easy to hang and really grip the tree. This is very important to me as I hate ladder sticks that slip and move. They make me very nervous. These gripped well and didn’t budge, going up or coming down.

The stand locked easily onto the tree and was incredible comfortable and stable. A large platform allowed plenty of foot room for comfort or standing and the seat was large enough even for a heavy set hunter. There is nothing worse than trying to sit all day on a seat the size of a saucer. This one was large and well padded.

I was also impressed by the stability. Some lock on stands I have used in the past always seem to move around some no matter how hard you cinch them down. The Big Game stand stayed put and even after a lot of movement on the stand it never shifted an inch.

Overall, this is one of the best lock on stands I have tested. It gets an A+ for comfort, stability and ease of use. For more information on The Big Game Boss Lite Combo, visit http://www.biggametreestands.com/products/the-boss-lite-packable-combo.html
