Remember to plan to be at the Pennyrile Forest Resort Park in Kentucky next July 13 through July 17 for our 2011 SummerBlast. You ask why attend and following are a few of my reasons. First of course is that you will get to meet and talk with many of our great members of the Talkhunting family. Pennyrile Forest Resort Park is a great location with nice air condition cabins and nice rooms at the lodge. You can get great meals at the lodge dinning room, They also have a very nice campground. At the last outing there we watched the whitetails in the parking lot several different times. Of course there are always several events to take part in or watch. Western KY Hunter allows us access to his farm for our archery shots and it is a great location not far from the park. Be sure to come see who will beat Huntmaster in his archery challenge. Besides which you get to hear and see the great stories first hand. Past stories from TalkHunting events include the “trees talk to WVWhitetail”, BeaglePup crossbow problems, Bogo shooting Western KY Hunters trees and more. What great stories will we have to tell after the 2011 summerblast? I’m sure there will be several new ones. Always seem to be several great stories on how people got to the park, but only after getting lost. Things like watching a TalkHunting member put up a popup camper for the first time can be very funny to watch. We did give Thwack some great advice, but not much help in setting up his popup. Remember to mark your calendars for July 13-17, 2011 as the Talkhunting Summerblast. you will have a great time at it and get to meet a number of our Talkhunting members and their familes.

1. Summer Blast 2011

   I would like to just add a little about the upcoming Summer Blast. Last year my wife and I went to KY for the TalkHunting Outing at Pennyrile State Forest Resort Park, this was the third TalkHunting event that I attended and the first for my wife. What a great time she had, meeting all of the folks (TalkHunting Family)that I talk with on the computer and on the phone with that neither of us had ever met before. The facilities at Pennyrile are fabulous, we went paddle boating and just walking around the park. The food was excellent and abundant. The archery shoot was a blast and when it was all over, my wife wanted to know when we were going to do it again. Well our reservations are made and this time we are bringing the rest of our family, grandkids and all if we can swing it. Come and join the fun and make some new friends. Gutshot
