Come one, Come all, to the greatest TalkHunting event of
the year! The 2nd annual TalkHunting SummerBlast. Come out and be with us
for one of the most fun packed weekends you have ever experienced! We
will be having a fun shoot for archery on Friday and an archery
tournament on Saturday with other activities spread all around. It will
be an awesome time with things for everyone to enjoy. You can
participate or just be an observer of any of these events but we
encourage you to participate!
The location for our
annual SummerBlast is the Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park in beautiful
Dawson Springs Kentucky. With the regional campouts being dissolved,
this SummerBlast will be the one and only for the year, every year. So
be sure to get registered early and get your accommodations reserved so
you won't miss it! The 2nd Annual SummerBlast will be held Wednesday July 13, 2011 through
Sunday July 17, 2011.
The 2011 SummerBlast will have activities such as an archery
tournament, an archery fun shoot, contests and a whole
lot more. “Meet & Greet” begins Wednesday afternoon with activities
planned for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Fun Shoot will
be held on Friday with the Archery Tournament on Saturday. We will have
activities planned around these events and it will be a grand time for
the whole family!

Having Fun With A Purpose....
Helping a young man with
Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis go on a Dream Hunt!

We will also be using this event to raise money for
Benefit 4 Kids, a wonderful charity organization that
grants the
outdoor wishes of children with terminal, life threatening and life limiting
illnesses.
All of the money from the fund raiser events at SummerBlast will go to
Benefit 4 Kids to help them
with a hunt for Caleb Gothrup.
Caleb is from Bellaire Michigan and has
Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. He is currently in the hospital
working on getting well enough to go on a hunt. His dream is to go
Caribou hunting in Quebec this August and all of the money we raise will
go towards the hunt for this young man. Caleb's hunt will cost around
$15000 and while that might be a stretch for us to raise, we are going
to do the very best we can. I know that TalkHunting members (and
outdoors people in general) are a generous lot and also have a love for
kids. This is a chance to show both. |

attending SummerBlast to have a chance to help this young man out. We will present
B4K with a check at the Saturday
Night Dinner in July. |

TalkHunting is raising money, both from SummerBlast events and
here on the website, for a great cause. Caleb Gothrup from
Bellaire Michigan has a wish to go Caribou hunting in Quebec
this year and Benfit 4 Kids and TalkHunting want to make that happen. This young man
suffers from
Focal
Segmental Glomerulosclerosis and we want to make his dream hunt
come true.
100% of donations
placed here will go to B4K for young Caleb's hunt.

| SummerBlast Live
Charity Auction
In July of this year, TalkHunting
Magazine & Forum will have its annual “SummerBlast” membership
gathering. This year, we are gearing all of our events towards
raising money for a charity called Benefit 4 Kids. This
organization grants “outdoor” related wishes for kids with
terminal or life threatening diseases. TalkHunting has had a
long relationship with this organization and we do everything we can to
help them.
During this gathering, we will be having an auction. Items
donated to us by members, sponsors and businesses will be
auctioned off to the highest bidder and 100% of the proceeds
will go to B4K. All companies that give us items for this
auction will receive a letter from B4K (who is a true non-profit
501 (C)(3) organization) stating the retail value of their
donation for a tax deduction. We will also list your company
name and web address on our SummerBlast page as a participating
sponsor along with what you are donating.
This year we are working on raising
enough money for a particular young man. Caleb Gothrup suffers
from Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. He is currently in the
hospital working on getting well enough to go on a hunt. His
dream is to go Caribou hunting in Quebec this August and all of
the money we raise will go towards the hunt for this young man.
I ask that you look into your heart, and if possible, donate
something so that we can give this brave young man his wish.

be donating and what the retail value is. Then, you can ship it
directly to TalkHunting and we will, in turn, have B4K send you
the tax letter.

Archery Tournament Challenge
I am calling you out! All of you top shot bow shooters, it's
time to put your money where your quiver is!
Because all of the money raised in the Archery Tournament will
go to Caleb and Benefit 4 Kids, I am making a challenge to all
of you and will see who has the guts to take me up on it. (if
there are ANY of you brave enough to do so 
)
Here is how it works... Everyone shooting in the Archery
Tournament on July 16th 2011 has to make a donation, of any
amount, to be in the Tournament. If you would like to be in the
Hunt Master's Challenge, it will cost you an extra $50 at the
time of the shoot. You will then be known as a "Hunt Master's
Challenger" and who ever shoots the best overall score at the
Tournament between me and all of the challengers will win $100.
The rest of the money raised will go to B4K.
If you want to step up and take the Hunt Master's challenge, let
me know and I will add your name to the list of Challengers.

the Best? As most of
you know, we are focusing our events at this years SummerBlast
to raise money for a brave young man with Focal Segmental
Glomerulosclerosis. His name is Caleb Gothrup and he is
currently in the hospital working on getting well enough to go
on a hunt. His dream is to go Caribou hunting in Quebec this
August and all of the money we raise will go towards the hunt
for this young man. Caleb's hunt will cost around $15000 and

We have donation buttons scattered across the website and are
really hoping that you will not just donate but spread the word
around to your family, friends and neighbors about what we are
doing here. Send out emails and make phone calls. Lets get this
brave boy the dream hunt he so desperately wants.
To make it interesting, we are going to run a contest to see
which State can donate the most money by July 1, 2011. I will
keep the top 3 States updated here so you can know who is
leading. The state that raises the most money will have a banner
dedicated to that state on the main home page of the forum until
the next SummerBlast. Spread the word, have raffles, yard sales,
whatever you can do. Lets make this boys dream come true and
send him to Quebec on a Caribou hunt.
