Come meet and greet with fellow TalkHunting members Wednesday afternoon and evening. This will be a time of fellowship lasting all afternoon and evening. Meals will not be provided but feel free to bring snacks, bring a grill and cook, bring drinks or take a break to go catch a meal at the restaurant, your room or in town.

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM - Hayride / 4-Wheeler Ride
This will be a trail ride at Western KY Hunters property. Feel free to bring your 4-wheeler or UTV and come ride the trails with us!
Location - Meet at the TalkHunting campsite at 9:00 AM local time. We will leave at 9:15 AM and drive from there to Western KY Hunter's property about 25 minutes away.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM - Cornhole Tournament Registration
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM - Cornhole Tournament
Cornhole is a fun (beanbag toss) game for all ages. This is just a fun tournament with no prizes or trophies. For more information on cornhole, click here.

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM - Charity Archery Fun Shoot Registration
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM - Charity Archery Fun Shoot
This event will be held Friday morning and will be the same field of targets that will be shot the following day at the tournament. This is just a fun shoot with bows of all styles allowed. This shoot may take most of the day Friday (bring a lunch and drinks). There will not be prizes awarded for the winners of this shoot but they will be announced at the Saturday Night Dinner and a trophy will be presented to the first place winner.
Location - Meet at the TalkHunting campsite at 8:00 AM local time for registration. We will leave at 9:00 AM and drive from there to Western KY Hunter's property about 25 minutes away.
Cost - A donation of any amount will be required for entering this event and will be collected at registration. All proceeds will go to Benefit 4 Kids.

5:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Charity Wild Game Cook Off Contest Registration
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Charity Wild Game Cook Off Contest
If you would like to enter the Wild Game Cook Off contest Friday evening, plan on entering your best dishes and having it ready by 6:00 PM. Judges will be appointed for this event and will taste, judge and vote for the best 5 dishes with trophies going to first through third place. You can enter as many dishes as you like but must make enough of each dish for 5 judges to sample. Any remaining food will be made available to members attending the contest. The winners will be announced at the Saturday Night Dinner.

There will be an auction Friday night of products and services. These items will be donated by sponsors as well as by individual members. If you would like to donate a new or used item for this auction, get with Luanne (BeaglePup@talkhunting.com) ASAP. All proceeds will go to Benefit 4 Kids.

There will be an archery tournament held on Saturday. This tournament is for compound and recurve bows only (no crossbows). First through third place will receive a trophy.  This will be for the title “TalkHunting Archery Champion” which will be added under the TalkHunting Avatar of the first place winner for the year. This tournament will consist of about 25 targets with many of them simulating very realistic hunting experiences from shooting from a ground blind to simulated treestand shots. This tournament will take most of the day Saturday (bring a lunch and drinks). The winners will be announced and presented with their trophies at the Saturday Night Dinner.

Don't Forget About The Hunt Master's Challenge!!!

6:00 PM - Saturday Night Dinner
Saturday night will be the group dinner and it will be held at the park restaurant. This meal will have to be paid at the time of the meal directly to the restaurant. Towards the end of the meal, we will have our presentations of awards and announcements.

In July of this year, TalkHunting Magazine & Forum will have its annual “SummerBlast” membership gathering. This year, we are gearing all of our events towards raising money for a charity called Benefit 4 Kids. This organization grants “outdoor” related wishes for kids with terminal or life threatening diseases. TalkHunting has had a long relationship with this group and we do everything we can to help them.

During this gathering, we will be having an auction. Items donated to us by members, sponsors and businesses will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and 100% of the proceeds will go to B4K. All companies that give us items for this auction will receive a letter from B4K (who is a true non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization) stating the retail value of their donation for a tax deduction. We will also list your company name and web address on our SummerBlast page as a participating sponsor along with what you are donating.

This year we are working on raising enough money for a particular young man. Caleb Gothrup suffers from Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. He is currently in the hospital working on getting well enough to go on a hunt. His dream is to go Caribou hunting in Quebec this August and all of the money we raise will go towards the hunt for this young man.

I ask that you look into your heart, and if possible, donate something so that we can give this brave young man his wish.
